Faculty Research Opportunities

The Kiphart Center invests in innovative research to further contribute to building knowledge and developing effective policy and intervention. Each year, University of Chicago faculty are invited to submit research proposals through the Kiphart Research and Development Fund’s annual call for proposals. The Fund prioritizes cross-national research and provides research support to new or existing projects that advance our understanding of social and global health problems and potential solutions to address them. Both applied and basic research projects are eligible and can be attached to intervention projects supported by the Kiphart Global Health and Social Development Innovation Incubator. As with the Innovation Incubator, research project proposals are evaluated by a multidisciplinary faculty committee and awarded to the most promising, innovative, and feasible projects, particularly those that address priority areas of interest to the Kiphart Center.
